  1. Close any instance of Access 97
  2. Extract the zipfile to a temporary folder
  3. Copy the add-in file (*.mde) from that temporary folder into the Access\Office 97 folder
  4. Open an .mdb in Access 97
  5. From the Menubar, select: Tools > Add-Ins > Add-In Manager
  6. In the Add-In Manager Dialog, click 'Add new'. Make sure that the filetype you are looking for is 'mde' (as it defaults to 'Add-ins')
  7. Select the specified.mde file and click 'Open'
  8. The add-in will now be displayed under the Add-Ins submenu
  9. To uninstall the add-in, select it in the Add-in Manager Dialog and click 'Uninstall'.
